San Diego Business Journal Power 20: Twenty Outstanding Business Leaders in their Twenties 2026
Ina Montejo recognized as Power 20 Emerging Leader
Ina Montejo is an Assistant Vice President at PACE Loan Group, a leading national direct Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) lender. Montejo works in a highly specialized and rapidly evolving corner of capital markets in which she’s already overseen more than $1 billion in C-PACE financing opportunities and built a reputation as a trusted, solution-oriented originator on complex transactions. Her ability to navigate layered capital stacks for PACE Loan Group, while educating stakeholders on innovative financing tools, demonstrates industry expertise and leadership beyond her years.
Montejo’s career is also highlighted by her greater industry impact. She co-founded CREW San Diego’s Emerging Leaders group, growing it into a robust program for early-career professionals. She also launched accessible events, including Golf 101 clinics, to make networking more inclusive in a traditionally male-dominated industry. She’s also active in the local CREW chapter’s Mentor/Mentee program, NAIOP San Diego’s Developing Leaders group and ULI’s Young Leaders group.
Recent, Future Accomplishments
As an Assistant Vice President at PACE Loan Group, Montejo has originated and helped close noteworthy transactions, including a $22.4 million C-PACE loan for a Culver City office project, financing for a boutique hotel in Galveston, Texas as well as a multifamily development where C-PACE functioned as a quasi-participant within a layered capital stack. She currently maintains a more than $250 million pipeline across
multifamily, hospitality, retail and other complex asset types. For her professional merits and unwavering dedication to the broader CRE community, Montejo was recently named Emerging Leader in The Registry’s 2026 Southern California Rising Star awards.
Montejo is setting herself up for a position in which she actively produces while building and mentoring a high-performing team, with an ultimate goal of being recognized not only as a strong originator, but also as a strategic leader who develops talent and drives growth initiatives. Central to making this vision a reality is her continued mentoring of professionals – especially women – entering finance and capital markets while also normalizing women’s presence in CRE finance and origination roles.
