Best Places to Work revealed, first round

Establishing and sustaining an engaging, inclusive workplace culture is no small feat, especially as more team members come into the office more days a week and different generations have different expectations from their employers.

For the 28th year, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal identifies Twin Cities companies that are getting it right with employees across the board with our 2026 Best Places to Work awards.

This year, we are recognizing 65 companies over five size categories that place a premium on workplace culture and employee engagement. And this week, we are revealing who our 2026 honorees are.

We start with our extra small company category. We are announcing them in alphabetical order this week, but they will be ranked by their employee survey score in our Aug. 21 Best Places to Work special publication.

To determine these honorees, Omaha-based Quantum Workplace conducted an extensive survey of thousands of Minnesota employees to see how they rated their employers across metrics like communication, leadership, team dynamics and more. Quantum then tabulated those responses to identify 15 high-scoring honorees in our extra small company category (10 to 24 Minnesota employees), 15 honorees in our small category (25 to 49 Minnesota employees), 15 in our medium category (50 to 99 Minnesota employees), 15 in our large category (100 to 499 Minnesota employees), and five in our extra large category (500 and more Minnesota employees).

All 65 of our honorees will be featured in our Aug. 21 Best Places to Work special edition — with more details on their award-winning workplace cultures — as well as online at MSPBJ.com. We also will celebrate them at an awards event the previous afternoon at CHS Field in St. Paul.
