Parag Vipani: Real People of PLG

Real People of PLG

Why did you decide to go into finance/real estate?

I started my career in hotel operations and gained a great understanding of the business from the ground up. Over time, I became more interested in the financial and strategic side of real estate—how projects are capitalized, developed, and financed. That interest ultimately led me to transition into real estate finance, where I could have a broader impact on projects while leveraging my hospitality background.

What drew you to C-PACE and PLG?

What initially attracted me to C-PACE was the creativity of the capital. It's a unique financing tool that can solve capital stack challenges, improve project economics, and help sponsors execute projects that might not otherwise be feasible.

As for PACE Loan Group, I had the opportunity to become familiar with the company on multiple occasions from the client side. I was consistently impressed by the team's depth of knowledge, not only of C-PACE itself but also of the many nuances involved in structuring and executing transactions. That expertise helps mitigate execution risk and creates real value for clients.

Beyond that, I was drawn to the firm's collaborative culture and reputation. The combination of a strong team environment, deep industry expertise, and a solutions-oriented approach made PACE Loan Group a very compelling opportunity for me.

What's your favorite place to travel?

Italy is definitely at the top of my list. It was a fantastic family vacation with an amazing mix of historic attractions, beautiful cities, and incredible food. I really enjoyed experiencing the history firsthand while also getting to enjoy the local culture and cuisine. It's a trip I've always looked back on fondly.

What's something you're good at/enjoy doing outside of work?

I've always enjoyed racquet sports. Growing up, I played a variety of them and have always appreciated the competitive aspect and the opportunity to stay active. More recently, I've gotten into pickleball, which has been a lot of fun. It's a great way to unwind, stay social, and feed that competitive side outside of work.
