Loren Biller: SVP of Originations, MVP of Billiards

What did you decide to go into finance/real estate:

My Dad is an investor, and spent part of his career as a commercial sales broker.  He exposed me to the business at a young age.  His guidance and experiences led me to where I am today.  A lot of the things I’ve done in my career stemmed from spitballing ideas with Dad over a cold beer.

 

What drew you to C-PACE to PLG?

One word:  Rafi.   I’ve known him for 10+ years.  He is one of the “good guys” in finance. (And in life come to think of it).

 

What's one piece of advice you'd give your younger self?

Move to NYC right after college. (I waited until I was 27.  Looking back, probably should’ve just made the move sooner as this is my favorite place)

 

What's your favorite food combo that people can't get behind?

Sliced apple with almond butter.  It eat this for breakfast almost daily.  Everyone looks at me like I’m crazy.  

 

What's something you enjoy doing outside of work?

Billiards.  I play or practice almost every day..  Recently started playing in tournaments in NYC and New Jersey. My favorite game is 9 ball.  

I often bring my cue with me when traveling, just in case there’s a good pool hall in the town I’m visiting.
